SoHyang performed 'Childish Adult(어른아이)' at Immortal Songs yesterday.
She was chosen as 1st singer to perform and she came out in black ensemble with JK Kim Dong Wook.
They were introduced as 'big contrast' because JK is famous for his low voice and SoHyang for her super high note.

She doesn't care about winning, but this time she came just to enjoy the performance more.
I know many of her fans expected a ballad song with big scale but it's very different and very new style and
you can feel her unique grooves.
She reduced her high belting but you will see her vocal agility and how she plays with the beat.



By the way, recently her body condition was bad cause she has had pneumonia for weeks.
So I heard it was a miracle for her to sing like that yesterday.
In addition, she had many performances to do before Immortal Songs.
It's really a miracle. Her songs can't be sung without proper breath supports.
In Korea, it's been really hot and yesterday it was pouring.
Just doing nothing, but already exhausted.
But she's done amazing performances even with pneumonia.
Please pray for her health.

Now they just made a news article about Immortal Songs to be recorded next Monday.
So I can share more information.
The episode is about 'Friend' and she will have a duet.(It's like Duet Special)
She has sooooo many talented friends so her fans wondered who would be this time.
This time she is performing with JK Kim Dong Wook(JK 김동욱)!
He has very warm and manly low voice.
I once saw him singing 'When I Dream' in person when I went to Immortal Songs that SoHyang performed 'Bridge Over Troubled Water' and I really liked his emotional low voice.

Back in 2013, SoHyang and he already had a duet of 'A L:ove Until The End Of Time' at KBS Open Concert.
And They also had a concert together in Sydney in 2014.
JK Kim Dong Wook also was one of the final 7 of I Am A Singer2.


By the way, SoHyang has done duets with great vocalists like Sumi Jo, Michael Bolton, Kirk Franklin, Park Wan Kyu, Lee Young Hyun etc.

SoHyang has been very busy since she came back from USA 
with a lot of schedules like KBS Open Concert, MBC Thank You Concert, SBS Radio Show etc...

And She has a show to do next Monday at KBS and you will be very very glad.
I'm so sure many of you have waited for this since last December.

Several hours ago, SoHyang performed anthems of USA and Korea at Globe Life Park in Arlington for MLB.

I'm so sure many people were surprised by her big resonant voice :-)
She went to the States to sing anthems and she has to come back to Korea soon for KBS Open Concert next week.

There was a showcase of the project 'United Korea' album and SoHyang appeared.
(Soprano Shin Yeong-Ok and Park WanKyu also came)
She performed her new song 'We Believe' and then had a Q&A time with reporters(there were soooooo many reporters)
and also had phototime.

Her song 'We Believe' is a ballad song that starts with her warm and mid-low voice but it goes really really high in chorus part
and those high notes are like endless.. nevertheless she sang it live perfectly.

She is very close with Ko HyungWon who produced this project and they have talked about Reunion of Koreas for long time, so she attended in the project. and she also said she thinks they can comfort people in North Korea by music and she wishes someday they can have a concert in North Korea together.

Ko HyungWon has made songs for her like 'Until The Lord Comes Back(주님 다시 오실 때까지)', 'Maranatha(마라나타)',
'Eternal Friend(영원한 친구)', 'The Hope Of The Nations(열방의 소망)' and 'Shelter(피난처)'.
I think he trusts her ability and makes those very difficult songs for her... (Actually other produces do too lol)

Now she is coming to The States to sing American Anthem and Korean Anthem for MLB.

Yes! Finally this song is coming out!!
Ko HyungWon is very talented producer and faithful missionary, He has made a lot of songs for SoHyang and they are very popular gospel songs. Especially 'Until the Lord Comes Back' and 'Maranatha' are mega hit gospel songs which are sung by foreigners in their own languages. He wrote an another song for the project 'United Korea' for reunion of two Korea and the song is called 'We Believe(우린 믿어요)'.
It was recorded last year but somehow it was delivered and it will be revealed next week, and the album will be released on 1st of next month.
I heard this song was really difficult song.
I'm expecting a song with big scale.

A lot of K-pop singers are included in this project like Jeon In-Kwon(original singer of 'It's my only world그것만이 내 세상),
Jung Dong-Ha, Ivy, Park Wan-Kyu, SunYe(Wonder Girls former member), Insooni, Song SoHee etc...

Next week, there will be an event for this project and SoHyang will attend. She may perform that song.

The heavenly diva SoHyang is coming to America again.

She was invited to sing American Anthem and Korean Anthem for MLB.

May 28th, There will be a game of Texas Rangers and Pittsburgh Pirates at Globe Life Park in Arlington, Texas.
Before the game it will also have a big event 'Korean Day' and she will sing anthems before the games starts.

There will be various events and you can get a discounted tickets thru Korean association of Dallas.


She became a huge issue for singing The Star Spangled Banner at NBA for the first time as a Korean,
NBA Star, Chris Paul said her version was the best ever that he has heard.
And she's doing again for MLB.

There is no Korean singer who made that huge issue for singing Anthems.
They have made uncountable news articles about her Korean Anthem performance.
If a singer made a small issue for anthem, Sometimes SoHyang's version becomes the issue again though it's been years.
Her anthem performance was talked in the show 'Radio Star', one of the famouse korean talk show.
She didn't appear at the show, they just talked about her while they were talking about other singer's performance.
And Her performance was also parodied by comedians in Korean famous comedy show, too.

She has the most viewed youtube video of Anthem of Korea for almost 1 mil.
If you put together those clips by other uploaders, it's about 2 mils.
Her videos of 'The Star Spangled Banner' are similar too.

Actually, I think she makes issues whatever she sings.
I'm really really hoping she will perform at Pyeong Chang Winter Olympic 2018 to represent Koreans singers.

You judge her by those videos, but I'm so sure they can't show you how amazing she is.
So please don't judge her by my poor video.

She raised the key of the song and made it perfectly.
Caught my breath!! So strong, so powerful but at the same time, very resonant.
And I loved how she naturally transits her chest voice to head voice which was still strong and ringing.
She even didn't lose her vibrato till her last note of lovely headvoice.

Above all, she sang the song with her all heart.
