The Heavenly Diva SoHyang decided to appear at another Immoral Songs. It's Guinness special and top score singers of the show will come for this episode. Recording date is 7th Dec. SoHyang, Kim Jong-Seo, Hong Kyung-min, Jeong Dong-ha, Ali, Son Seun-yeon, Heo-gak will come.
Sohyang will also perform at KBS hall on 29th Nov with Kai, a popera singer who also appeared at I Am A Singer and recorded 'I Believe' with SoHyang before.
And SoHyang also appeared at Hidden Singer for Lim Jae-Bum and it will broadcast this saturday.
주님 다시 오실때까지(Until The Lord Comes Back) is surely SoHyang's most famous song ever. This song was composed and written by 고형원 선교사님(Missionary Ko HyungWon) who wrote a lot of Gospel and CCM music. The song is included in POS's 3rd Album Butterfly. She said it's her favorite song and she will sing this song until the Lord comes back. She also said she think this song teaches her how to live as a christian.
SoHyang was already a superstar in CCM field, but she became more popular among nonchristians with this song. It's not usual that so many nonchristian people loved this very religious song. As internet developed, people started watch a lot of music videos of pop stars. And people started to share her this video of Until The Lord Comes Back and Upon This Rock. Yes, they share these CCM videos in pop song communities and people still loved them much. Of course people got shocked by those videos and although she was still CCM singer and didn't shop up in public TV shows, So many music manias realized her and became her fans. People were surprised that she can hit A5 live so easily and by her soulful tone.

널 사랑하는걸(That I Love You) is a song included in POS's third album Butterfly. This song was written by POS and its another title is 주의 고백(Declaration of the Lord or Confession of the Lord). Later, this beautiful ballad song became the OST of the film 공정사회(Fair Society-English title is Azooma). The film is about an Azooma(married woman) who tries to revenge for her raped daughter when they couldn't get any help from police.
This song was also covered by very famous singer in Korea. 조성모(Jo SungMo) became a super star in 90's and officially he is the biggest selling artist of Korea(16 million copies sold) He was famous for his clear and beautiful voice and he sang a lot of ballad songs. He also got more popular in entertaining TV shows. He was a mega star indeed.
But he started to face hard times for some reasons. SoHyang and her Band POS's 3rd Album is 'Butterfly' and the same titled song 'Butterfly' is a very beautiful song. This song is about a weak insect that flies beautifully to praise God.
There is a behind story of this song.. She and her bandmates work up so early like 3~4 AM to pray in the chapel in the dawn. They did it everyday. Sometimes they fall asleep during their prayers but they loved this time with God.
One day they were praying in the dawn. JiHye(Composer and Keyboard player) started hearing something from God. She went to keyboard quickly and started to play melodies that were given by the Lord. And other memebers started to see one vision given by the Lord hearing the music by JiHye.
One butterfly was flying in front of the throne of God. 'Lord, What is that?' they asked. and He let them know, when they try to praise God though they are small and weak, He rejoices. With this message and the melody, they made the song and this song is Butterfly.
The Immortal Singer SoHyang had covered one song of Korean legendary rock vocal Lim JaeBum. She sang 'Where Are You(그대는 어디에)' for I Am A Singer and she was overwhelmed and finally cried after her dramatic performance. Later she was invited by Lim JaeBum for his concert and he introduced SoHyang to his fans saying she's great singer who tries to deliver every sound of her so hard.
And She also covered his song '(Scars deeper than Love)사랑보다 싶은 상처' with Park WanKyu.
And She was invited by Lim JaeBum again for his upcoming new album. A lot of singers remade his songs for his tribute album and She is one of them.
The album seems to be released in Novermber. SoHyang sang '이 또한 지나가리라(This Shall Too Pass)'.
The Heavenly Diva performed at KBS hall for Open Concert today. This concert was set suddenly. Korea has a lot of dispersed families because of Korean War. Years ago, KBS made TV programs for them to find their lost family members. Thru this TV show, they find their long time lost people and those materials of the show became UNESCO world heritage. Celebrating this, they made this episode of Open Concert and Of course SoHyang appeared at this special show.
SoHyang showed up in black long dress and she sang 잊지말아요(Please Don't Forget), sound track of TV drama Iris2, and her famous song 꿈(Dream).
She recorded 잊지말아요 years ago, but never performed this song before, and it was her first time to sing this song in public. At last part of the song, she eventually was about to cry, and she was embarrassed. They played the video of dispersed families before her turn, and it finally made her cry. Because the song is like ' 우리 서로 사랑했는데, 우리 이제 헤어지네요(We loved each other, but we are separated now..) but she sang this song very beautifully and wonderfully.
Then she sang Dream. You know she rocks!!!! Her voice itself is so much big and everybody has to focus on it. Her last note of super headvoice is piercing everything!!
On 11th, there was Sumi Jo's concert for celebrating her new pop album release and She invited SoHyang to sing together the song 'In the Flower Garden', the title song of her album.
Sumi Jo introduced SoHyang saying she has great vocal volume and technique. SoHyang came out in cobalt blue long dress with her bright vibe as always. They sang the song together beautifully.
They raised hands together and people gave them big applause. Sumi Jo said 'I saw her practicing before the concert.. you guys take a look' then disappeared. And SoHyang alone sang 'Fate' perfectly. Two perfect divas made a wonderful concert.
In a long time, SoHyang showed herself at I Am A Singer legend. They voted total 8 singers from all of the seasons for the concert. And of course they called SoHyang, and in spite of a lot of schedules, she decided to attend.
SoHyang was 4th singer of the show. She was introduced as 'The Heavenly Voice'. She looks so beautiful with blue long dress.
SoHyang sang 'Dream' and 'I Have Nothing'. It was outdoor concert in the night so they couldn't raised the sound volume much and the musical setting was so poor, so other singers voices can't be heard loudly at some parts. But SoHyang was different. When she sang the first part '가슴이 벅차 솟아오르네(My heart is overflowing)', it was so big and heard so clearly. I could hear people heaved a sigh for her beautiful voice color at that moment right away.
She said she wasn't happy about her first appearance with I Have Nothing and she wanted to do it again. So she sang this song again. More dramatic and emotional. She was too nervous at her first appearance when she sang this song, but this time, she wasn't. Surely she was shining.
SoHyang was in Germany for concert in early September and she just came back for this concert. So she hadn't time for rehearsal with band, nevertheless she was amazing!
The Super Divas just released a duet song 'In The Flower Garden'! The heavenly diva SoHyang already covered this song as Popera version for I Am A Singer and the super opera diva Sumi Jo was impressed by her performance and she wanted to sing this song with SoHyang together. So they made this beautiful duet song. SoHyang has performed this song so many times since I Am A Singer, but it's her first studio version, too.
This song is the title song of Sumi Jo's new album and it's first time for her to decide a duet song as title song. Sumi Jo seems to like SoHyang so much :-)
The heavenly Diva SoHyang performed at KBS1 Concert 7080 yesterday. She sang three songs, 꽃밭에서(In The Flower Garden), 햇살이 입맞춤 하던 날(The Day When Sunshine Kissed Me) and I Have Nothing. In spite of her a lot of schedules, she sounded amazing. Especially she sang I Have Nothing so greatly. She sang a little differently with ad-lib. It will broadcast at PM 11:45, 5th Sep, 2015.
