The Heavenly Diva SoHyang won another episode of KBS The Immortal Songs.
It's her only third appearance and she already won twice of them!
At her first appearance, she sang 'Lean On Me' in front of Michael Bolton
and she made him do standing ovation for her.
Bolton praised her saying she is a 'Virtuoso' and he asked her a duet and they did at his concerts.

Whenever she sings, people get crazy about her perfect performance and she did it again.
The Episode was about the English pop songs that korean people love.
And she chose 'Bridge Over Troubled Water' by Simon & Garfunkel.
She was so busy before this appearance, she had a lot of schedules in a row before the show.
she didn't have time enough to practice but she made it again.

She was 4th singer of 7 singers of the show.
Since she chose this old pop song, there were many people who didn't know this song.
(Other singers chose Let it Go of Disney Frozen OST, My Heart Will Go On by Celin Dion, Heal The World by Michael Jackson..

She didn't belt those her B5~C6 like her other songs, but still sounded strong and amazing and of course emotional.
This song has very gospel sound and you know she is a CCM singer, so it was perfect for her.

Although many people got up from their seats for her after her performance, the score was just 416.
Weirdly the audiences were calmer than other days and they didn't put the button for singers.
so the score was lower than anybody expected.
but she kept defeating other singers and became the final winner of the show.
In fact, she was only one who got over 400 score of the show.


By the way her birthday was 5th April, so this day, her fans brought big flowers, cake, letters, meals and snacks for her, her family, her team and other staffs of the show. they also would buy an expensive gift for her but she asked them to donate the money for Haiti.
So her fans donated money like $2,000 to Haiti.

The heavenly diva SoHyang appeared at Immortal Songs again.
The theme of the episode is Korean Folk Song and she sang '홀로 아리랑'(Arirang Alone)

She already won the episode of Michael Bolton singing 'Lean On Me' that Bolton praised SoHyang is virtuoso.
It was so western music, and Arirang is so oriental and korean music...
KBS kept asking for her one more appearance so SoHyang appeared again.
Since it was so oriental sound, her company didn't decide easily
but SoHyang decided to to because this song is about Dokdo Island no matter how she win or not.
(*Dokdo is the most eastern small island that belongs to Korea and Japan is still saying it belongs to japan and for korean people, it seems that Japan still want to invade to and steal Korean property...It's a kinda symbol of independent Korea... in this song, Dokdo is also related of Unity of South Korea and North Korea)

Sadly she was chosen first singer to perform.
Since it was Folk Song episode, there were no immortal singer like Michael Bolton to be introduced before the show. so they just had to start the show and people were NOT warmed up yet.

SoHyang just had to show up... but she made the perfect performance.
And she got 411. it's really really high score for first performer(even without warming up).
but she didn't become the final winner.

Anyway she made a huge impression.

Jo Kwan-Woo appeared with his father, Jo TongDal-human cultural assets of Korea and his son, a pianist.
He was also I Am A Singer performer, so he knew SoHyang is kinda super singer.
So he said 'SoHyang is difficult (to defeat).'

His father, Jo TongDal said SoHyang has a wonderful voice so he wants to scout her, if she did Korean traditional music only, She would be the world best. 

Song SoHee(who became the final winner of the episode) said that she did the same song before, and SoHyang did like 10 times...100 times.. so much better than her.

Yang DongGeun who is very close with SoHyang and has worked with her on a couple of songs said if a sick person hears her voice, he would get up right away.

Sunwoo, a popera singer, hit E6 during her performance, and MCs asked about that note to SoHyang because everybody knows SoHyang can hit really really high notes... but SoHyang said 'I don't think I can do that..' but she was like 'Was it this note?' and she just hit that note easily.. with her super head voice with big resonance.
MCs were like 'You were like I can do that, too!'. So hilarious..LOL

SoHyang will have a joint concert with opera singers on 24th.
She's not an opera singer, but she is a main singer with baritone Kim DongKyu.

The Diva, SoHyang will appear at one operatic concert with very famous baritone Kim DongKyu.
This concert will be held in Concert Hall of Seoul Art Center on 24th, Feb, 2015.

And She will appear at one music show of KBS,
but it's a local TV show, so I'm not sure if we will be able to watch it.

The heavenly diva showed up at red carpet photo wall of Star!King.
Star!King is recording 400th episode today and they of course invited SoHyang!!
SoHyang appeared at several episodes of the show with big impact of her amazing voice.
She has sung many songs like 'Emotions', 'When You Believe', 'Fate', 'Endless Love', 'O Holy Night', 'Hero', 'Goose's Dream' and 'I Believe I Can Fly'.

I heard she was supposed to sing two songs 'Fate' and 'You Raise Me Up' today.
And One of two will be a duet performance with Kim Hyuk-Gun who overcome paralysis by car accident.

I think 400th Episode of the show will broadcast on 31st, this month.

I went to Incheon City to see her singing O Holy Night for Christmas Lighting.
It was a freezing day, but the heavenly diva, SoHyang still sang this song so perfectly.
I was amazed by her perfect voice again.
Korean Mariah Carey, SoHyang sang You Raise Me Up and O Holy Night.

Her voice is so angelic.
The highest note of this performance is D6(Super headvoice) and A5(Upper chest voice).
So Amazing that she can easily and perfectly sing like this on this freezing day!!

Korean super diva, SoHyang sang 'All I Want For Christmas Is You' originally sung by Mariah Carey.
She performed this Christmas song and 'The Prayer' with Tenor Jung EuiGeun at KBS Open Concert.
It will broadcast on Dec 21st, 2014.

She will perform at another KBS Christmas Concert on 18th.

The heavenly diva, SoHyang will sing at this concert.
The title of this concert is 'Classic meets Carol'.
Because only 4 team including SoHyang will appear, I think she can sing songs more than 1~2 songs.
Maybe she can perform 'O Holy Night'.
Seth Riggs, the vocal couch of Michael Jackson, praised her O Holy Night when they met in America when she was young.
And it is said the immortal singer, Michael Bolton also praised her O Holy Night performance.

*It is said that.... Michael Bolton went back to America after Immortal Songs recording in Korea,
And he watched many youtube videos of SoHyang and
he found her O Holy Night performance video(maybe I Am A Singer version), and he said it is the best of best.. cause She sang this song live so perfectly.
He also said he'd never seen this undescribable singer before... Her range is great, too, but her voice itself is very beautiful like an angel and it touches souls.. and he wants to introduce this amazing singer to USA and world.. so maybe he wants to invite her to his world tour.

2nd, Dec, She will perform at Open Concert, KBS.

And she will appear at EBS radio for 13 days to be the reciter of the fantasy novel 'The Great Divorce:Heaven and Hell', written by C.S. Lewis. She is a huge fan of C.S. Lewis and now she becomes a radio reader of his novel! I don't know what it will be like, but It seems that she will comment on this whole book during the show.
