SoHyang(POS) - That I Love You

널 사랑하는걸(That I Love You) is a song included in POS's third album Butterfly.
This song was written by POS and its another title is 주의 고백(Declaration of the Lord or Confession of the Lord).
Later, this beautiful ballad song became the OST of the film 공정사회(Fair Society-English title is Azooma).
The film is about an Azooma(married woman) who tries to revenge for her raped daughter when they couldn't get any help from police.


This song was also covered by very famous singer in Korea.
조성모(Jo SungMo) became a super star in 90's and officially he is the biggest selling artist of Korea(16 million copies sold)
He was famous for his clear and beautiful voice and he sang a lot of ballad songs.
He also got more popular in entertaining TV shows. He was a mega star indeed.

But he started to face hard times for some reasons.
During his army service time in Korea
(Every korean man has to go army and he had an alternative service), he had difficult times as a singer and this song comforted him
so he decided to cover this song even when he couldn't set a plan about his new album.

When his fans prepared a birthday party for him, he sang this song for his fans even before he recorded this song.
And he recorded this song for his new album.

SoHyang - Butterfly

SoHyang and her Band POS's 3rd Album is 'Butterfly' and the same titled song 'Butterfly' is a very beautiful song.
This song is about a weak insect that flies beautifully to praise God.

There is a behind story of this song..
She and her bandmates work up so early like 3~4 AM to pray in the chapel in the dawn.
They did it everyday.
Sometimes they fall asleep during their prayers but they loved this time with God.

One day they were praying in the dawn.
JiHye(Composer and Keyboard player) started hearing something from God.
She went to keyboard quickly and started to play melodies that were given by the Lord.
And other memebers started to see one vision given by the Lord hearing the music by JiHye.

One butterfly was flying in front of the throne of God.
'Lord, What is that?' they asked.
and He let them know, when they try to praise God though they are small and weak, He rejoices.
With this message and the melody, they made the song and this song is Butterfly.

In The Flower Garden is available now!

The Super Divas just released a duet song 'In The Flower Garden'!
The heavenly diva SoHyang already covered this song as Popera version for I Am A Singer and the super opera diva Sumi Jo was impressed by her performance and she wanted to sing this song with SoHyang together.
So they made this beautiful duet song. SoHyang has performed this song so many times since I Am A Singer, but it's her first studio version, too.

This song is the title song of Sumi Jo's new album and it's first time for her to decide a duet song as title song. Sumi Jo seems to like SoHyang so much :-)

SoHyang & Lee Younh-Hyun - 곁(Beside You)

Two diva made a wonderful duet song.
Lee Young-Hyun composed this song and asked SoHyang a duet.
And She sang this song with her!
(They had a couple of joint concert together in Argentina and Australia)
SoHyang's bandmate Zion also worked on this beautiful song as a producer.

SoHyang singing O Holy Night (@ Christmas Lighting)

I went to Incheon City to see her singing O Holy Night for Christmas Lighting.
It was a freezing day, but the heavenly diva, SoHyang still sang this song so perfectly.
I was amazed by her perfect voice again.
Korean Mariah Carey, SoHyang sang You Raise Me Up and O Holy Night.

Check this video out.

Her voice is so angelic.
The highest note of this performance is D6(Super headvoice) and A5(Upper chest voice).
So Amazing that she can easily and perfectly sing like this on this freezing day!!

SoHyang released new song 어떻게 내게(How Dare You)

This time she worked with rappers in years.
She used to made music with rappers and now she did it again!

This song was written by SoHyang herself and her bandmate Zion
and arranged by Hwang Sung-Je who have been working with her for long time.
They worked together for I Am A Singer and Immortal Songs, too.

Rappers, Yang Dong Geun and Dok2 rapped for this song.
YDG is very popular musician and he is very close with SoHyang.

The immortal singer Michael Bolton invited the heavenly diva SoHyang to sing duet.
Bolton visited Korea for his concert tour and he had 2 days concerts in Seoul.


He invited SoHyang and Seo Ji-an who appeared at immortal singers for Michael Bolton's episode.
SoHyang became the winner with great performance and Seo Ji-an who wasn't popular then made a big impression, too.

Seo Ji-An sang before concert started.
SoHyang appeared on the stage to sing 'The Prayer' with Michael Bolton during the show.
Michael Bolton introduced SoHyang as 'The Incredible'.

SoHyang said, before Immortal Songs she interviewed that she wants to duet with him and she is really doing now.
SoHyang also said with her own bright tone that Bolton Oppa(korean: brother-which means he is still young) is still handsome.
and Michael Bolton smiled at her saying thank you.


They sang beautifully and when they finished this song, SoHyang disappeared.

But, Michael Bolton called SoHyang again to sing the encore song 'Lean On Me'.
They sang this song duet again for the finale and SoHyang made a big impression with super belting C6. 



And Michael Bolton sent her an another love call.
Now he wants to do world tour with SoHyang.
Since SoHyang is very busy, too, I'm not sure what they will do together, 
but I think Michael Bolton likes SoHyang so much cause he sends her lovecalls when they meet up.

The vocal virtuoso, SoHyang had an interview with CGN TV recently.

SoHyang is saying...

Being famous is of course success, but I don't want to focus on this..
I thought I need to mediate more...why He gave me this, why He did this..

(Through I Am A Singer) I could understand better minds of those people who don't believe in Jesus that I couldn't see before.

At first I thought, thru I Am A Singer, I would become more influential and use this to tell about Jesus.
Vaguely I thought He gave me this answer, but it wasn't..
Through this, I repented more...Cause when I came to people as a christian, I guess I was trying to teach them before.

It wasn't just solid, I had my own confusion in myself and It's like I had a battle..
Sometimes I regret, sometimes I feel it's difficult, sometimes I would be conceited.
But I don't regret about those moments, because I needed them, God needed them to make me grow up.

That is a fantasy novel based on John's revelation.
I got more hopeful cause my life's wish really came true. Ah, Film will be made, too.
When God wants, He does. I became more confident.

We don't know What God will do, Who God will save, but I surely believe He will work thru this TV, too.

SoHyang's perfect performance 'Lean On Me'

The Vocal Terminator, SoHyang became the winner of the show!
'Immortal Songs' invited Michael Bolton who is loved by korean people so much,
Korean 7 singers performed his songs in front of him.

SoHyang, who appeared at the show for the first time, chose 'Lean On Me' and sang this song in front of him.
She was 7th singer of the show and people got tired so much by this long-time show recording.
But As soon as she finished her performance, people went crazy.

They gave her standing ovations and shouted to her for long time.
She just couldn't get out of the stage because people didn't stop shouting and applause.

Michael Bolton also gave her a standing ovation and got speechless by her amazing performance.
It seemed so sure that she would be the winner.

They caught Hyorin(Sistar) got shocked by her perfect super-high note during her performance.



Right after she finished Lean On Me,
Other singers praised SoHyang.

Ailee(who is considered one of the best female singer of young korean idol stars) said
She knew SoHyang even before her debut. She heard SoHyang singing 'I Believe I Can Fly' and 
she was SO like "Oh my... I want to sing just like her!' and she is so happy to stand on the same stage with SoHyang for 'Immortal Songs' and SoHyang did REALLY good job.. and she expected SoHyang would be the winner.


Moon Myung-Jin(One of the best Korean R&B singer and also got big praise by Bolton) said
Speechless and She is really amazing and he wants to brag about her to foreign people.


Hyorin(Who is a lead vocal of k-pop girl band Sistar, and also considered one of the best female vocalist among k-pop idol stars) said she felt just absurd just like she was chosen 2nd challenger of the show and she just got nothing to say and she felt shame about her own performance.

Seo Ji-An(who was not very well known but made a wonderful stage and got very high score) said
he should do it right(work harder).. he felt like SoHyang was telling him 'Do it right!"
And he also said he felt the most beautiful sound of the world is human's voice.


MCs stared to predict SoHyang's score.

MC JaeHyung predict her score '440'
MC Jiwon predict '460'..

Then, Hyorin seriously expected '490'
And Ailee expected '500'.


500 is the perfect score and Lena Park was 429 on the show.
And SoHyang became the final winner getting the score '442'.

In fact, people expected higher score than this, but there were many fans of other singers and talented singers at the same time. So I think her score wasn't high enough.

But People were crazy about her.




After the show, Bolton went to SoHyang's waiting room and send her a love call.

Yesterday, SoHyang wrote a note to her fans.

She wrote God made this performance and she is so proud of other singers.

And she is grateful for prayers.
She asked prayers from fans again and she also said she will keep going for her dream.


Her new song will be coming out next month.
it seems she did something with best musicians.

SoHyang singing for new MBC

Beautiful SoHyang was invited to sing for New MBC center.
They opened New MBC center in Sangam, Seoul.
They invited so many K-Pop idol stars like EXO-K, Sista, I-U and many great singers who appeared at I Am A Singer including Lee Eun-Mi, The One, Lena Park.

SoHyang was also invited and sang this song '시간을 거슬러(Back in Time)', originally sung by korean female singer, Lyn and this song is one of the OST of a very famous korean MBC TV dream, 해를 품은 달(The Moon that embraces The Sun).

So many singers appeared and it was broadcast live in Korea.
There were some complaints about MBC, cause they invited too many singers so singers had to sing very shortly and almost of them had to sing songs related to MBC, not their own songs.
And their sound system wasn't very good. It seemed that it wasn't easy for singers to sing live there.
It was a huge concert. I was there, and SoHyang was great and beautiful :-)


She performed at Open Concert and sang 2 songs, Memory and 사랑했지만Although I loved you).
2 songs are not her own songs.






Today, SoHyang appeared at KBS charity live TV show, 사랑의 리퀘스트(Request of Love).
They played one video of SoHyang meeting one boy who had a big car accident but now living for his dream.
The boy lost his one leg by accident, add now he lives with his artificial leg. But He didn't give up his hope and wants to keep studying. He still has beautiful smiles and try so hard to support his mother and brothers.
SoHyang visited his family and gave him a pair of nice shoes cause he can walk now.
At live studio, SoHyang sang her own song 햇살이 입맞춤 하던 날(The Day When Sunshine Kissed).
She sang very beautifully and perfectly with some ad lib.

She will also perform at big festival of Incheon-City.
