My Pos~ Family guys!!!

It's been so long time!
Now that I just say Happy New Year 2019 so late.

I had so much to tell you, but when I try to write, I don't remember them well haha

Nowadays I'm taking care of my health.

I'd worked so hard for very long time, and naturally I got many things to reinforce. 

So I'm exercising, thinking and strengthening so hard day by day.

Being healthy is the best, guys. Please take care of your health very well this year!!

First, my essay was published in 2019.

This is 'Love, about the perfect algorithm'.

I love movies and dramas so much and I compiled the love of God that I felt in them into a book.

I took some major events in the bible and wrote how God's love begun, how it went and how it's working now.

While I was writing, I cried a lot and sometimes I laughed alone.

Thanks to you guys who love and care about my everything,
My book was published in the grace of God, so I'm so touched and happy.

Thank you everyone ㅠㅠ(crying emoticon)

You don't know how precious your prayers are to me.

Please keep praying for me very hard so I can meet you with books and beautiful songs.

I also pray sincerely that God's love which is so deep, wide and high will come upon each of you.

Until this book was published, your prayers were so helpful.

I expect we will meet on one very good day.

SoHyang performed with David Foster for 4 days in Japan.
I was with her but missed last night shows because I had to come back to Korea to work other things in Korea.
So I'm writing now. Sorry for being late.

It's eight shows in four days. So it must be very tough schedule for her especially when she's still suffering from pneumonia.

But I was very impressed how hard she tried to focus on preparing for her performances and hold on to God alone.
She is really an amazing person and I do admire her. not only as musician but also as a human.

I'll never forget her those renditions. Basically she sang I Have Nothing as DMC version but there was different ad libs, which I loved.

David Foster is really amazing producer, in my opinion, he is the very best producer in the world. 

And Brian Mcknight, Dira, Jordan John, John Robinson, Troy Laureta, Charlie Rosen, David Negrete and our lovely SoHyang are all amazing musicians and they were really awesome. I hope they will have concerts in Korea too someday.

I was told that we can't share photos or videos for Japan has very strict copyright terms. So I'm not posting anything now.

A few hours ago, SoHyang and her sister Jinjoo just filmed the korean major music show, Yoo HeeYeol's Sketchbook.
She performed 'The song of Wind' and 'Your Song(The Song Begins)' with Jinjoo.

They rocked and they had a fun interview with Yoo HeeYeol and SoHyang did many things with her voice during the interview.
And Jinjoo played guitar to Yoo HeeYeol's beat box. 

The show will be on air this Saturday.

She was AMAZING today.
She performed her new song, 'Your Song' and it was more powerful in person.
and She covered Lady Ella's song beautifully
And she sang Happy Birthday Song accapella and it was so powerful with the resonance.
You have to go her concert if possible.
It's different with what you watch from videos.

She had Meet & Greet event with her fans before the concert in private place to celebrate for her new single.
Some fans were invited to backstage and met her in person.
They gave her presents and took photos with her together.
She gave them autograph and hugs.
So lucky fans.
She was soooo kind. Actually a few fans couldn't arrive on time, but she invited them again personally.
So one fan, who got there a little late, visited her in her waiting room.

Hope there will be another chance like this in future.

They revealed her new song will be released very soon.
The song title is 'The Song Begins'.
Several weeks ago, I could hear SoHyang's several songs in process and watch her new videos including 'The Song Begins'.
I knew these photos were from her music video that she filmed in America after King Of Masked Singers.
Loved her new styled music video.
And the song(still weren't mixed perfectly yet) sounded amazing with her timbre.
It was very catchy and I knew it would be loved by her fans so much.
It's very different from her former songs. Very radio friendly song.
And I think people can enjoy this song especially in summer time!
I'm glad it was delayed till now. Now it's very hot in Korea and this song is so perfect in this season :-)

There is another song to be released but I don't know when it will be released.
It's very different as well from The Song Begins or her other tracks.
And there were more tracks like demo or unrecorded song.
One track took my breath away and I told them I loved it very much.
It was very very unique.
But I don't know it will be ever revealed cause it was just a demo.

I think they've worked new materials so hard.
And they tried new styles.
SoHyang still has a lot of things to surprise you!

During the interview with Mr.Emre, she said her highest note is around high Eb.
Because of 'High', people think it means Eb6 but As you know on, her highest note revealed was A6 so far, so her highest note can't be Eb6.
She meant Eb7.
Because of those confusing terms she said, 'I don't know', 'Doesn't matter, I just want to sing'.

If you're a fan of vocal analysis, you would be friendly with those vocal terms like 'High' or octave numbers.
But if you're not into it, it can be confusing sometimes. Especially when we have our own terms in Korea.

You usually count the octaves from Piano. But in Korea, we count from human modal voice (male) which is 3rd octave.
We often say it's Middle C but, Even middle C is confusing people sometimes, because it's C4 technically but, it's referred as C3 in many cases.
No matter what they call whatever, she meant 'D7 or Eb7'.

That's why they said '5th octave' during the interview. Eb7 is 5-octaves higher octave from C3.

But she said she hasn't measured her vocal range so she doesn't know exactly.

While they were talking about her highest note, they just laughed out because someone said 'Infinity!'.

He really loved her song and he asked for another song in future.

As light warmer than air, As scent deeper than light - My songs

I don't totally agree with the saying 'people go as they were named', but I assent with it somewhat.
On the stage, SoHyang shines her light with only her voices.

Her twinkling sounds are mixed with impalpable air and go into the hearts of listeners. It shines as bright light in someone's heart and it's stuck and shines as a gem that they want to keep for long time. It's proven by the fact that she kept her king title for 6 consecutive times in <King of Masked Singers> that singers should sings with hidden faces. In fact, she had turned down the requests from the show.

"'Can I sing wearing the mask?' I had thought. I wondered if it would be possible to sing hiding my mouth.
It was honor, but I couldn't accept their proposal easily."
Then she fell into slump, and she took the stage as her first stage to get over the slump.

"My health got week so I was sick. and naturally I was't confident with my voice either. My voice was my property,
I felt like all my property was gone. I could sing like I used to do, but I faced my own limit that only I could feel."

She blindly purchased an airplane ticket to New York.
We wouldn't recognize it because we just get amazed by her voice no matter how short it is. but it was important enough for her to think about finishing her 20 years of singing history. Ever since she grabbed her mic when she was 19, Singing was almost everything of her.

"Since my childhood, I was good at singing and loved singing. But it wasn't good enough to think of singer as my future. It was just like when I was in school, my friends told my teacher to let me sing during talent show, and I came out to front and sing for them. I used to play singing songs, it was a little different with other friends."
Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, Celine Dion. The time when the 3 Divas were noticed by world, The student Kim SoHyang repeated their albums 1000 times. She repeated and repeated it again but she never got bored.

"It was really fun. I sat down and listened to the same song everyday, but it sounded different everytime I did.
One day I sang along the melody, the other day I sang along the guitar line or base line. The other day I sang along the chorus. 
And I learned singing naturally. That why I chose 'I Have Nothing' by whitney Houston when I went to I Am A Singer as unnamed CCM singer.
It was a song that I could sing with confidence though I didn't have my own pop hit song. The albums of them are my teachers."

I want to live in harmony with everything in this world.

Until the CCM singer became the SoHyang of this time, the fun for her was singing. and she was scared because the fun could be shaken.

"I just went to home of acquaintance in New York. One day I had a trip to Philadelphia and found one sentence by President Roosevelt there.
'The only thing we have to fear is fear itself'.
I realized because of the sentence. if I avoided singing because I was afraid of future, I can regret much more in time. I gotta take my life as a singer and work it hard again.
when she came back to Korea after one month she received the request from King Of Masked Singers again, finally she could came out of the slump.
Of course, it wasn't easy to choose the songs and practice while she was king for 6 times. It was difficult and tough.
"But it was a really good choice. Because I could study about what communication with people is, what singing means to me and how to sing and deliver."
Weakening. Loosing. She found to strength the whole body wasn't the best. 
She couldn't explode like she used to do(*She got sick again while she was on the show), it rather made her come to closer to people comfortably. 
She could find what communication with people is and how various colors the singing can deliver are.

"My new single is coming out soon. I'm not saying belting is bad. There are people who love that dramatic style, and it touches people differently. but I'm happy that I can show different voice of SoHyang this time."

She has many dreams. First, to live with some fun. After she became a grown-up, everything she has done was fun things that thrilled her.
Showing korean voice to world like Singing at the closing ceremony of FINA in hungary, Singing american national anthem at NBA.
Singing as a CCM singer, Singing to public people. she wouldn't be able to do it all if it wasn't fun.
And she did unexpected thing, to write fantasy novel. Anaxion. she finished 10 books of the fantasy novel, Her ultimate goal is to make it as Hollywood film. And her another dream is to live in harmony. So she wishes her singing not to just stay alone in somewhere very high but wander around. Embracing heart-broken people like coat, becoming a wall that exhausted people can lean on. Becoming a start of small happiness for many people who endure a day. So it would be mixed in harmony. like air, like light, so everybody can enjoy it.
Just like her name 'So(Light) Hyang(Enjoy)'.

"My final dream is not different with you guys. To live in harmony with balanced heart. I want to live in harmony with everything in this world."
