SoHyang singing the song at Concert 7080.
The line-up of this show isn't noticed but somehow I found her that she's coming just a few hours before the show starts.
I just went there and get in somehow. it wasn't easy :-(

And I was amazed by how she sings. I do love this song especially when I see it live 
cause when I listen, I feel like happiness is overflowing from her.
Her voice was full of happiness and I bet people there could feel that too.
Happiness was overflowing in the hall.
I recall she said that many people say like that, too.

It was raining and I was tired a little to rush there, but I was so happy to see this performance in person.
This day, Other songs that she sang, In The Flower Garden & I Have Nothing were superb, too.

#Throwback
When SoHyang appeared at I Am A Singer after long-time love call from the show producers, she sang I Have Nothing by Whitney Houston and she became the winner of the episode.
People got shocked by her but later she said she showed only 50% of her ability because she was too nervous.

Anyway this performance became one of my favorite cover song of her.

Right after I Am A Singer, she had a Christmas Concert 2012 like before.
(She had big sold out Christmas concerts for many years before I Am A Singer)

Many singers have concerts in December in Korea.
During the final episodes of IAAS2, the episode winner could promote the concert via the show.
SoHyang became the winner with the song 'Fate' and she could promote her concert via the show.
But when she promoted, it already had few seats left.
Anyway this sold out concert was very wonderful.
She performed almost every song of IAAS, too.
Singing only one song would be difficult, but...............................How could it be...

She sang I Have Nothing as the encore song and I was totally blown away.
How could she still sing like that after all of the performances?

When I came home, I checked my videos and was so disappointed cause it didn't express her real voice well enough.
I was like...'what happened to my camera? why is it like this???'
Now I gave up cause her real voice is much more amazing.. but check the video out.

O Holy Night is a classic Christmas carol and SoHyang loves this song.
She has 4 versions of the song including I Am A Singer version.
When she chose this song for her last episode of I Am A Singer, show host HongCheol Noh asked her why she chose this song,
because other singers prepared the show so hard with songs that they can show big impacts with but she chose Christmas carol.
Then she answered this song is the song that she can show her voice the best and she has sung this song for 15 years.

She said a lot of pop-stars like Michael Bolton and Mariah Carey has sung this song, and especially she loves Mariah Carey's version.
She also said Seth Riggs(who couched Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder etc) loved it when she sang this song in front of him.

#Throw Back

It was a cold day. I was in Seoul and she was supposed to perform in Incheon for Christmas tree lighting ceremony.
I had to go because I knew she would sing this song amazingly and I didn't want to miss it.
I felt like I had to record it.
I went there on time and it was a very cold day. It was outside performance because it was about Christmas lighting.
I waited for a while like for 30 mins shaking my body then she finally showed up on the stage and people shouted for joy.
She sang You Raise Me Up and O Holy Night.
I was worried a little because it was really cold and she should hit A5 and D6 in headvoice.
But I also knew she was SoHyang who is sent from above ;-)
She always surpasses my expectation. I don't know how many times I saw her live in person,
but I still get shocked and touched by her voice. It was super great!! I knew it!!!

I have saw her O Holy Night performance many times like in her concerts or TV show...
but it was one of the best though its set wasn't as good as in her concert.

As she came down from the stage people surrounded her for photograph and autograph.
It was worth of waiting in coldness for long time :-)

SoHyang was already a superstar in CCM field, but she became more popular among nonchristians with this song.
It's not usual that so many nonchristian people loved this very religious song.
As internet developed, people started watch a lot of music videos of pop stars.
And people started to share her this video of Until The Lord Comes Back and Upon This Rock.
Yes, they share these CCM videos in pop song communities and people still loved them much.
Of course people got shocked by those videos and although she was still CCM singer and didn't shop up in public TV shows,
So many music manias realized her and became her fans.
People were surprised that she can hit A5 live so easily and by her soulful tone.

People usually think she became popular by Star!King or I Am A Singer,
but So many people already knew about her and loved her.
A lot of korean pop singers recommended her to I Am A Singer team.


As time goes by, this song became more popular and finally it became one of the biggest CCM hit.
Many people started to sing this song in korean churches and many singers and worship teams covered this sing.
Kids to old people, every christian knows and loves this song.

Not only in Korea, it became more popular over the world.
Chinese people translated and started to sing this song.

Chinese people singing along the song in their language.

And according to a Kenya fan, it became a hit song in East Africa, too.
