The Heavenly Voice, SoHyang performed at KBS hall for Open Concert today. She sang two songs 'Power of Love' and '하늘을 달리다(Running to the Sky)'.
She was wonderfully perfect as always!!! People really loved her and the show hostess, Soo-Kyeong Hwang was amazed by her, too :-)

SoHyang will perform at Kirk Franklin's concerts in Seoul on 27th and 28th. Almost people don't know this... but, She will sing one English song that she has never performed so far. I can't tell you what song it is, but you'll be glad that she sang this beautiful song there :-)
Last Saturday, There was a big charity concert in one korean church. A lot of famous singers performed... including Jinho Kim of SG Wannabe(Original singer of 살다가) and Hwayobi, Korean famous female singer...
SoHyang was final singer for the concert and she was incredible. Yes, she was the terminator really. Beyond amazing. She was the only singer who received encore request twice.
Her voice condition was perfect and...I just don't know what to say. You can watch videos but trust me, she sounded so much better in person. Videos always cannot catch her true voice...
I have seen her singing in person so many times, but this concert was one of the bestest.
Actually the session was really great, original sessions of I Am A Singer came, big choir and orchestra came, too. Because of this big musical session, many singer's voices were not heard well in some parts. But SoHyang's voice pierced all of the sounds and everybody could hear her strong and beautiful voice clearly all the time.
She sang 'Falling in Love' with G.Brown for the first time.
When she finished 'Running to the sky', people started shouting 'Encore!' Even though she didn't say it was the final song. Maybe people just didn't want to miss her. LOL
Anyway, she sang her final song 'Until the Lord comes back'. Then, People started shouting encore again..
So She came back and sang 'Amazing Grace' acapella. She hit D#6 at final part of the song.
She was the terminator of this concert.

Recently SoHyang received some letters from her international fans via one Korean fan. She really loved them and she was so happy about them. She said she will keep them forever. She laughed so much while she was reading. She also said she wants to meet them sometime.
She also performed two songs 'You Raise Me Up' & 'Dream' at KBS Open Concert last week. While she was singing 'Dream', She hit C6 by her mixed voice. She hadn't done it for a while cause she had another version of this song since I Am A Singer. But she did it this time though it was basically I Am A Singer version. It will broadcast on 20th July.
Heavenly Voice, SoHyang sang new version of 인연 at Star!King. She performed this beautiful song with Jasmine Choi, famous flutist.
SoHyang wasn't supposed to perform that day, but they asked her, so she sang this song with simple instruments they had. Because of flute(?), she lowed the key. Sounds very beautiful.
She said she wanted to play with Jasmine Choi before, but they couldn't cause Jasmine wasn't in Korea. Maybe the song SoHyang wanted with Jasmine was this song, Fate, while she was singing at I Am A Singer2.
By the way, SoHyang will perform at Open Concert next week.
The vocal terminator, SoHyang went to press interview about Kirk Franklin on May 28th. Kirk Franklin will visit Korea for his concerts and SoHyang will perform at his concert as a guest singer.
At this interview, SoHyang said she is a big fan of Kirk Franklin and she repeated almost every song of him. She also said his song 'Revolution' is like revolution of gospel music and she wanted to make him as her model. People may think gospel music is boring, but she was surprised by his music like 'Gospel music can be made this way'. She added she is so grateful that she can be a part of his concert this time. She recommended several songs of Kirk Franklin, 'Hosanna', 'Brighter Day' and 'Lean On Me'.
Kirk Franklin's concerts in Seoul will be 27th and 28th June.
New Song of SoHyang, Rhapsody of Rain, was just released.
Recording this song, the producer Joo Yeong-Hoon said SoHyang is the best female singer, and the true terminator of vocal :-)
He thought there is no other female singer who can sing this song except SoHyang, so he went to her musical hall and asked her while she was doing her first musical show 'Sound Of Music'. She liked this song, so she said yes.
In fact, they first met up at KBS hall in 2000, maybe SoHyang was singing 'Upon This Rock' for the finale of the show. He really loved her voice, and he wanted to work with her. Joo Yeong-Hoon was very famous pop music producer then, But she turned down to remain as a CCM singer.
Korean famous producer, Joo Yeong-Hoon tweeted SoHyang's Photo today, And online newspapers made so many news articles about this. Many of them made good comments about her beautiful face of this photo :-)
With this photo, Joo Yeong-Hoon tweeted 'The true terminator of Vocal, and songs of SoHyang gives me chills'. 종결자(Terminator) is a kind of korean internet slang, so I don't know terminator is right expression in English. Anyway it means she is the top or best.
He described her as 'The best female singer' before.
They recorded one song, called '비의 랩소디(Rhapsody of Rain)', a big hit song of Choi Jae-Hoon, which originally was released in 2000, and Joo Yeong-Hoon made this song and now SoHyang recorded this song for his 20th anniversary album. This song will be released tomorrow, 27th.
SoHyang sang '그것만이 내 세상(It's my only world)' at I Am A Singer 2 for her final stage. This song was originally sung by Jeon In-Kwon(전인권) of 들국화, the legendary rock band of Korea. He recently praised SoHyang's cover.
During his recent interview, he was asked about his favorite version among a lot of cover versions of this song.
He said "I Could feel the true heart from SoHyang's song a lot. I was falling in this song when I was listening. She did just like I sang"
Then he was asked again "Do you mean she sang with her heart not her neck?" And he said "Yes".
By the way, SoHyang appeared at Star!King, a big show of SBS. She sang many songs like 'Emotions' ,'Hero', 'O Holy Night' at this show before. Not known yet when it will broadcast.
SoHyang will also perform at CBS Love Concert soon. And Kirk Franklin's concert in Seoul as a guest star next month.
Gospel Super Star, Kirk Franklin Will come to Korea for his concerts and The Heavenly Voice, SoHyang will perform at his concert.
Kirk Franklin will have his concerts 'Live in Korea 2014' in Seoul on 27th and 28th June. Not known yet, which day SoHyang will perform on.
He would come before and SoHyang was supposed to be the guest star before, too. But it was canceled. It's been 4 years since his last visit to Korea.
By the way, SoHyang said she's a fan of Kirk Franklin and she recommended his album and song 'Lean on me' to korean people thru korean major portal site, 'Naver'.
She said she memorized his songs singing along them and it was helpful for learning rhythm.
The heavenly voice, SoHyang sang for Haiti last Saturday. There was a charity concert for Haiti and she made the show amazing again :-)
She will join another charity concert for funds for Lou Gehrig hospital on May 17th.
By the way, KBS invited her for upcoming Open Concert, but this show was canceled again. This is because of recent korean tragedy. I think when they will start recording the shows, they will invite her soon again.
Korean super diva, musical actress and writer, SoHyang sang 'Let It Go' at KBS hall for children's day. SoHyang was staying in New York for new album work, but she came back to Korea for this show.
She was voted 'The singer that they want to see the most' by children and she sang 'Let it go', the Disney animation Frozen O.S.T cause children voted this song for the song they want to listen the most. How nice she is! She came back to Korea a couple of days before the show.
She must have the time difference problem and she must be tired. but she did an amazing job really! I saw her rehearsal and real show in person. She sounded really amazing. Her resonance filled the whole hall and her belting was very powerful!! She was very beautiful as well. She was wearing Elsa-like blue dress and blue shoes. Her hair also reminded me of Elsa. People really loved her!!
After the show, I said 'You were the bestest!!' but she said no. She wasn't happy about her performance. Maybe her condition wasn't perfect. I was sorry about her feeling, but I think she was wonderful on the stage and people really really loved her. She was very humble and kind.
You can watch the video. But this couldn't catch her real voice very well. You know her amazing resonance and power which were rocking my body.
By the way, a lot of kids came to her waiting room before the rehearsal, so she gave them her autograph and took pictures together though she was busy. Very young kids also wanted to interview her, so she did kneel down for her height and very kindly did a short interview with them. They asked what her favorite children's song is, so she sang acapella for them and also told them they should have a dream!
