SOHYANG & POS

The heavenly diva SoHyang appeared at Immortal Songs again.
The theme of the episode is Korean Folk Song and she sang '홀로 아리랑'(Arirang Alone)

She already won the episode of Michael Bolton singing 'Lean On Me' that Bolton praised SoHyang is virtuoso.
It was so western music, and Arirang is so oriental and korean music...
KBS kept asking for her one more appearance so SoHyang appeared again.
Since it was so oriental sound, her company didn't decide easily
but SoHyang decided to to because this song is about Dokdo Island no matter how she win or not.
(*Dokdo is the most eastern small island that belongs to Korea and Japan is still saying it belongs to japan and for korean people, it seems that Japan still want to invade to and steal Korean property...It's a kinda symbol of independent Korea... in this song, Dokdo is also related of Unity of South Korea and North Korea)

Sadly she was chosen first singer to perform.
Since it was Folk Song episode, there were no immortal singer like Michael Bolton to be introduced before the show. so they just had to start the show and people were NOT warmed up yet.

SoHyang just had to show up... but she made the perfect performance.
And she got 411. it's really really high score for first performer(even without warming up).
but she didn't become the final winner.

Anyway she made a huge impression.

Jo Kwan-Woo appeared with his father, Jo TongDal-human cultural assets of Korea and his son, a pianist.
He was also I Am A Singer performer, so he knew SoHyang is kinda super singer.
So he said 'SoHyang is difficult (to defeat).'

His father, Jo TongDal said SoHyang has a wonderful voice so he wants to scout her, if she did Korean traditional music only, She would be the world best. 

Song SoHee(who became the final winner of the episode) said that she did the same song before, and SoHyang did like 10 times...100 times.. so much better than her.

Yang DongGeun who is very close with SoHyang and has worked with her on a couple of songs said if a sick person hears her voice, he would get up right away.

Sunwoo, a popera singer, hit E6 during her performance, and MCs asked about that note to SoHyang because everybody knows SoHyang can hit really really high notes... but SoHyang said 'I don't think I can do that..' but she was like 'Was it this note?' and she just hit that note easily.. with her super head voice with big resonance.
MCs were like 'You were like I can do that, too!'. So hilarious..LOL

SoHyang will have a joint concert with opera singers on 24th.
She's not an opera singer, but she is a main singer with baritone Kim DongKyu.
