"My dream is my novels becoming movies"
Dash off in a brush. Pop! The subject rose up and couldn't stop typing.
Once her imagination got started, it rushed her to finish.
In a short time, she filled 50 sheets of A4 papers and 50 sheetes became 100 sheets and finally it became manuscripts of several books. Inside the books, there are every genre like Romance, SF, whodunits and Criminals.
If you think it would be distractive, you're wrong. The immersion is powerful. I'm talking about a web-novel 'Anaxion' written by the singer, SoHyang.
'A Book of Anaxion' is a prophecy that was written by a girl who had revelations from one angel in Chosun period.
After it was published in July, it's widely acclaimed.
'I endured clenching my teeth, finally it came out. I was keeping dreaming and it became reality...Now so many people are reading'. I was overwhelmed."
It's not her first time to write novels. Her first one is <Crystal Castle>. it was 2012.
She was full of wills and she brought her manuscripts to a publishing house but they told her "You shouldn't write like this, if it's published, people will blame you." though, she thought 'writing' itself is meaningful, so she published her books somehow after several times of polishing, but the reaction wasn't great. it was 2 books but they were not sold well.
"<Anaxion> was not acclaimed from the first time either. I wrote it being full of wills again but the publishing house was like 'it's like you just put events in this novel. you'd better to change arrangement more dramatically.'"
Once she changed the arrangement, its immersion became stronger. She wrote 900 pages like this, but there was an another ambush. "They were like...'If it goes like this, it will be difficult to weave it one story.' and they said 'It turned out too much of Fantasy."(She laughs)
She got senses after losing manuscripts of 4 books. Writers are aware well that modifying is more difficult than writing. When she was having a tough time, she thought
They even told me to learn Korean. What a shame. I cried several time." (She laughs)
I was like I'm just learning! and my perfectionist side helped, too. Once I got their critics, I got to want to complement and to be close to perfection."
It was success. There is no training better than writing a lot for writers.
She was into writing for last 2 years then her Fantasy in her head came out an actual object.
And the reaction was hot. If you visit the review board, you'll find it in one second.
"I read it at a stretch.", "When will you publish next book?", "It's so much batter than <Da Vinci Code>", "It's like I watch a motion picture..."
"My dream is to make films with my novels. In fact, I have wanted to make films for 20 years.
But I could not make films right away so I started writing novels."
Actually, she was inspired by a lot of fantasy movies.
"I watched <The Lord Of The Rings> over and over again and I really love the writer of <The Chronicles Of Narnia> and saw every work of his. and I think I ranged over all of the Super Hero films. and I think It helped a lot."
Her Husband became a huge fan of her novel, too.
SoHyang met her husband as she started a band in her first year of University.
She has been a singer since then, so it's her 20 years since her debut.
She was a CCM singer, but she showed her power to more public people thru <I Am A Singer> and <Immortal Songs>.
SoHyang takes two different things as her destiny.
"I'm taking both of them. I couldn't release my album because I was so busy with writing, but this year I planed to work on my album too. I'll also keep writing novels. I don't know what book will become the film, but I'm guessing <Anaxion> will be."
