SoHyang is a big fan of TV drama producer ByungHoon Lee(이병훈) who is well known for Korean historical dramas.
Especially his drama, Dae Jang Geum is one of the biggest hits of Korean drama.
He has produced a lot of TV dramas and they are all very popular.
One of his latest drama is 마의(Horse Doctor) and they needed one singer to record its sound track.
ByungHoon Lee was wanting SoHyang to sing the track in his mind, and the music producer came to him and told about SoHyang. Of course ByungHoon said Ok.
So she was asked for the sound track 'The Only One(오직 단 하나)'.
He said he's a big fan and he watched I Am A Singer2 because of SoHyang.
He showed her his phone music list because he had all of the songs that she sang at I Am A Singer
and SoHyang said 'You're a true fan of I Am A Singer' and he answered
"I'm not a true fan of I Am A Singer..but I'm a fan of yours!" So she laughed out.
He also chose 'The Only One' as his favorite sound track.
And when she visited him when he was filming Dramas, he insisted her appearance and SoHyang appeared at his drama shortly as a cameo.
And here's the composer's interview about SoHyang and the song.
"Among my latest works... This was the most satisfying and the most difficult song, too.
I really felt solitude while I was working on this song.
It should be plaintive and at the same time, it should explain unconcerned pain..
I think I didn't have many choices of female singers who could do that.
In a sense, Ms.SoHyang is more R&B and Gospel, and asking her for this major and traditional sound?
After she just grasped [the point of] this song, finally she just recorded the song only three times and went home.
And it got 'OK'[which means the recording is already perfect so they don't need to do anymore]...
it means I think she is more than I thought."
